Trade in the Greater Mekong Subregion (GMS) is valued at over 300 billion USD per year and continues to grow at an average of 6–8% annually amid global competition and change. Far Energy Solution Co., Ltd. has therefore launched the FAR CONNECT platform to serve as a “digital bridge” linking Thailand, ASEAN, China, and global markets, with the collaboration and support of The Promotion and Economic Development of the Six Mekong River Basin Countries Trade Association
FAR CONNECT From Platform to Ecosystem
FAR CONNECT is designed to upgrade Thai trade in four key dimensions
- Trade Aiming to bring more than 10,000 Thai SMEs and farmers into the system within 3 years, generating over 50 billion THB in trade value.
- Logistics Integrating data on Multimodal Transport and Dry Ports in Thailand, Laos, Vietnam, and China, expected to reduce logistics costs for entrepreneurs by 20–30%.
- Innovation Leveraging AI and IoT to match businesses and analyze markets, projected to accelerate trade deal closures by up to 40%.
- Sustainability Building traceability and Green Supply Chain systems to meet the needs of premium markets in China and Europe.
The Six Mekong Countries Association A Network of Empowerment
The association has partners across six countries—Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, Myanmar, Vietnam, and China—covering a network of over 100,000 entrepreneurs. It plays a vital role in cross-border trade and logistics policy negotiations. Collaboration with FAR CONNECT thus means creating a central platform that truly connects economic players in the region.
Voices from the Drivers
Mr. Krittakorn Uttamo, Secretary General of the Association, stated
“We aim to use FAR CONNECT as a channel to push Thai and Mekong products into the Chinese and global markets, targeting 200,000 tons of rubber and other agricultural products within the next five years.”
An executive from Far Energy Solution Co., Ltd. added:
“FAR CONNECT is not just a marketplace—it is an ecosystem that brings together trade, logistics, innovation, and collaboration in one place, enabling exponential growth.”
The Road Ahead
FAR CONNECT aims that by 2027 it will have over 50,000 users, covering Thai entrepreneurs and GMS partners, and generate more than 100 billion THB in annual trade value within the system.
This marks a new step for Thailand to not only be an “exporter,” but to become the true hub of economic, logistics, and innovation connectivity in the Greater Mekong Subregion, and a genuine bridge to the global market.
