On March 13, 2025, at 10:00 AM, the Rubber Authority of Thailand (RAOT) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on rubber business cooperation with Xishuangbanna Manlie Rubber Co., Ltd., and the Promotion and Economic Development of the Six Mekong River Basin Countries Trade Association at the RAOT headquarters.
The signing ceremony was attended by Mr. Sukthat Tangwiriyakul, Deputy Governor of Operations and Acting Governor of the Rubber Authority of Thailand; Mr. Chutiwat Chaidarun, President of the Promotion and Economic Development of the Six Mekong River Basin Countries Trade Association; and Ms. Yu Deme, Deputy General Manager of Xishuangbanna Manlie Rubber Co., Ltd. These representatives from the three organizations participated in the signing.
Objectives of the MOU
This Memorandum of Understanding aims to promote and enhance cooperation in the rubber industry by adhering to the laws, regulations, and policies of each participating country, including
Promoting economic development both domestically and internationally
Exchanging academic and technological knowledge
Reducing trade barriers between Thailand and China
Supporting the sustainable development of the rubber industry
This collaboration is expected to stimulate economic growth, create trade opportunities for both countries, and further strengthen the stability of the rubber industry in the Greater Mekong Subregion.
