On February 18, 2025, the Promotion and Economic Development of the Six Mekong River Basin Countries Trade Association, represented by Mr. Chutiwat Chaidarun, President of the Association, and Mr. Krittakorn Uttamo, Secretary-General, officially appointed Ms. Sakuna Saranun, Member of Parliament for Sakon Nakhon, Constituency 6, as the Honorary Chief Advisor for Thailand.
